ZARA | MATERNITY-FRIENDLY CLOTHING FOR THE COSY SEASON

It's October and cosy season is officially upon us. This week I am reviewing some new-in pieces from Zara that are maternity-friendly and cost effective.
There is definitely a chill in the air so I have been on the hunt for some new outfits that will keep the bump warm but also look stylish. I have also decided to rate the pieces I tried on from 1-10 in comfort levels, I'm currently 7 months pregnant and it's sometimes hard to find maternity clothing that looks stylish, fits well and is also comfortable, especially in your third trimester where comfort is a must.

SOFT WIDE LEG TROUSERS AND TOP COMBO

This set was SO comfy, the material is super soft and warm yet not too thick which is perfect for Autumn where as the day goes on it can sometimes get a lot warmer. I thought this set looked really chic, even with the bump and the top was long enough to cover the bump nicely. The best part about this set was the comfort of the trousers, the elasticated waistband felt extremely comfortable (I wore these under the bump) but if you were a little less far along in your pregnancy you could definitely wear these above the bump with comfort.
Overall loved this set, super stylish and comfy!
ribbed rustic trousers and top combo

Similar to the above but the fabric was not quite as soft, the material was slightly thicker and a ribbed-effect. The cami-style top is again perfect for October (in case the sun does make an appearance). I also loved the flared-style trouser and you could easily elevate this outfit for an evening by pairing with heels as shown below. Overall another great maternity friendly set for Autumn.

Overall a great maternity-friendly skirt and I loved the colour, a deep burgandy/red with a sheer finish. This skirt is perfect for Autumn and works really well as a maternity item. The elasticated waist band worked perfectly underneath the bump and didn't dig in.
I also tried on this skirt in black too which looked nice. In my opinion the length was a little short so I would probably pair this with some leather boots (I did this in my tiktok try-on)
trousers with side taping (khaki)

comfort level: 7/10
I tried these trousers on in a size M and I think these may have been more comfortable in a size L, however the stretch waistband worked well with my bump and I did like the overall look of the trousers. I think these would be great to wear to work but I would pair with an extra long top or tshirt, especially if you are wearing these under the bump otherwise your bump will be popping out.
I think it's always hard to find smart trousers when pregnant, I also love green so I would probably invest these. You would definitely be able to wear these post pregnancy too.
JOGGER JEANS - £29.99 (1889/159)

COMFORT LEVEL: 7/10
I find it really hard to find maternity jeans that actually fit well so I was pleasantly surprised by these. They are really comfy, but not the most flattering on the bum because I had to size up in order for them to fit around the bump. However for a casual, oversized daytime vibe I think these are a great a look. They felt pretty comfy as far as jeans go too.

This set was nice, but not as flattering as the others I tried on. Perhaps because my bump is quite large now, the top may have looked nicer on a smaller bump.
The stretch-waist trousers were comfortable around the bump and I liked the ties at the sides as details. The fabric was quite thin but a slightly scratchy material.
Overall a nice set, which would be perfect for everyday or weekend days out paired with a long jacket and trainers for a cool daytime look.

Another gorgeous cosy-knit set, this one was in a charcoal grey and material was a soft wool. Again the waistband was elasticated and very comfy over or under the bump. I still sized up in the trousers for extra comfort.
The jumper has a very low neck line which is a nice detail as it means it can be worn slightly off the shoulder (and is also ridiculously soft).
This set feels more lounge/casual but could be elevated with some accessories and heels.

Loved the colour and feel of this set, a light beige wool material. This set, although the cheapest, felt the most expensive as the material was a lot thicker which I liked.
The jumper is slightly shorter so I sized up but it definitely shows a bit of bump (which I quite like).
Elasticated waistband and a slight fare on the trousers was flattering and very comfortable on the bump. Definitely get your hands of these sets soon as they are starting to sell out already!

Ok no joke RUN don't walk to get these sweaters. They are SO comfy and soft and the perfect oversized look which works perfectly with the bump.
They feel so luxurious, can be worn with pretty much anything and just an amazing staple item to have in your wardrobe even for post pregnancy.
