5 PREGNANCY FRIENDLY OUTFITS FOR AUTUMN
- Nine Months Of Style

OK, it's starting to get a bit cold here in the UK and as much as I'd love to spend the rest of the year hibernating in my pyjamas, unfortunately I have quite a busy social calendar.
Therefore I have decided to put together some of my favourite pregnancy looks from the past few weeks to make it really easy for you to style the bump over the Autumn season. I have worn all of these looks and can confirm that they are all bump-friendly AND comfy. I am now over 7 months pregnant so the choice of what to wear is becoming more limited but I have noticed an increase in the amount of new maternity clothing brands as well as more high-street options such as trousers with stretchy/elasticated waistbands, which is great news but I am still on the hunt for more stylish maternity pieces that can be worn post-pregnancy. It's slim pickings out there!
As I have said many times before, in my opinion it's worth investing in a few staple maternity pieces and creating a maternity capsule wardrobe.
You can check out some of my previous posts on this, I will be creating an updated capsule wardrobe edit in the coming weeks with my top picks, so keep an eye out for that!

a casual pregnancy look that can be worn day or night
I am not usually a skirt girl, but I have to say, I am slowly starting to love the pencil skirt + boots look. There's some really nice options for skirts that are bump friendly at the moment, mainly in Zara and H&M.
These have more stretch to them with elasticated waistbands.
I am really obsessed with burgandy this season, so for this look I am styling a burgandy, stretch-waist skirt from Zara with a black shapewear bodysuit. I added a cosy oversized jumper from Stories (& Other stories have the best wool products and great quality). This combo looks so good paired with over-the-knee leather boots. Style with your preferred accesories and depending on the weather, a long wool jacket.

A RELAXED DAY IN THE OFFICE
My office is quite relaxed in terms of dress code, so I am lucky to be able to wear pretty much whatever I want, including trainers! However if this outfit isn't suitable for your office, you can easily wear this at the weekend instead or swap out the trainers for boots.
For this look, I paired a stretchy pair of black trousers from Zara (super comfortable) with some oversized pieces; a white tee from the men's section in Uniqlo - you will not regret buying this tshirt because the quality is amazing. I added an oversized long-wool coat from H&M, it's getting harder to do up, but it still looks cool undone and you can wear this post pregnancy.
Style with a pair of trainers or boots, scarf & bag for a cool, relaxed & comfy pregnancy look.

THE WEEKEND COFFEE RUN
I love dressing the bump during Autumn, it's so much easier than summer! This outfit can again be worn day or night depending on the occasion, you can just swap out the shoes for a dressier version if required.
A classic pregnancy look for Autumn is the the knit dress + duster coat + boots combo. It's effortlessly chic and requires minimal styling. You can get away with pretty much any type of knit dress when you're pregnant, as long as it's long enough to cover the growing bump.
For this look, I have picked a knit-dress from & Other Stories because I like the quality, paired with a leather look duster jacket and chelsea boots. Layer more accessories such as a scarf/hat and sunnies to finish the look.

THE CELEBRITY GO-TO PREGNANCY STYlE
I've noticed a pattern of how celebrities tend to style their bump and it usually consists of a tight, stretchy maxi dress, long coat and sunnies (think Margot Robbie, Sofia Richie etc).
It's a perfect look for Autumn, especially for those slightly warmer October days when the sun is shining. It's also a perfect maternity look because these stretch dresses are beyond comfy (i've linked my favourite one below from Skims).
The best thing about this look is that it can all be worn post-pregnancy too, win win!

running errands in the city
I've still not found the perfect maternity jeans yet, however until I do I will continue to test as many as I can and update you on the blog.
I've decided to style these new maternity jeans from H&M because they are one of the few pairs I can find without the huge, ugly stretchy section that goes up to your boobs that you see on most maternity jeans.
Especially if you did want to style the bump out, these jeans are designed to be worn low-waist (you can see how they look in real life on my tiktok). They are pretty comfy to start with, but avoid sitting down in them for long periods as they start to dig in a bit under the bump.
I have finished the look with an oversized Tee from Asos and an oversized boyfriend blazer.
Pair with this seasons accessories and you're ready to go!
